What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Control Technician/Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Missouri Metal Recycling?
We are looking for a Industrial Control Technician /Heavy Equipment Mechanic to assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of hydraulic equipment. You will trouble shoot and repair PLC ran shears and balers, make electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on equipment such as mobile and track cranes, forklifts, skid steers and more. Applicants should have some experience with diesel heavy equipment repair so they can determine what parts and tools are necessary for repairs.
Industrial Control Technicians / Heavy Equipment Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
- PLC Programming: Troubleshoot ladder logic on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) like Allen-Bradley.Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix issues with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Complete shop paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to adapt to fast pace shop.
- 2 to 5 years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
- Welding experience (a plus)
- Manual dexterity
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must be available for weekly overtime hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
