Missouri Metal Buildings is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our metal building manufacturing team. This is a full-time position for someone who takes pride in producing quality work, can accurately read shop drawings, can read a tape measure, and is comfortable welding a wide range of steel components.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Thursday
- Four 10-hour shifts
- Flexible start and stop times
- Three-day weekends
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
- MIG weld structural steel and cold-formed metal building components
- Weld in multiple positions
- Work with material ranging from 16-gauge cold-formed steel to 1-inch-thick plate
- Fit, tack, assemble, and weld components according to drawings and specifications
- Accurately read a tape measure and verify parts using tape measures, squares, levels, and other tools
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for accuracy and quality
- Operate fabrication equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Clean up after yourself and help keep the shop organized
- Follow all company safety procedures and production standards
Minimum Qualifications
- At least two years of MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience welding in multiple positions
- Ability to work with different steel thicknesses
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must be willing to clean up after yourself and maintain an organized work area
- Ability to safely lift, move, and position steel components
- Willingness to complete a welding test as part of the hiring process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience manufacturing pre-engineered metal buildings or structural steel components
- Experience operating a horizontal band saw
- Experience operating an ironworker
- Experience with fitting and structural steel fabrication
- Forklift or overhead crane experience

Work Environment
This position is performed in a 23,000 sq. ft. metal fabrication and manufacturing facility. Employees should be prepared to stand for extended periods, work around welding fumes and fabrication equipment, and perform physical tasks associated with handling and assembling steel.
