Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Budtender to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Budtender, you will play a crucial role in educating customers about our products, assisting them in making informed choices, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our dispensary.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.
• Educate customers on various strains, products, and consumption methods while providing accurate information regarding effects and benefits.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately while maintaining basic math skills for cash management.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked display of products, ensuring that shelves are replenished and visually appealing.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items or educate customers about specific products.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
• Uphold compliance with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or assisting with orders over the phone.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, particularly in the cannabis industry.
• Familiarity with cash registers and basic math skills is essential for handling transactions accurately.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and stock control is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities when supervising others.
• A genuine interest in cannabis culture, including knowledge of different strains, products, and consumption methods is highly desirable.
• Candidates are required to obtain a Missouri Marijuana Qualifying Agent Card.
