The primary goal of this project is to ensure that the collection of over 80,000 objects are safely moved to a temporary location within the current storage facility while recording reliable location information into Mimsy XG, the museum's collections management database. After construction is completed within each storeroom the objects will be moved back and given a new permanent location. The move team will work under the supervision of the Collections Manager and Objects Preservation Administrator.This position is temporary and project-based with an anticipated end date of March 2027 with possibility for extension.Duties/Responsibilities:Working effectively and cooperatively as part of a team during a complex and coordinated move.Safely pack and move objects between storage locations.Rehousing objects as needed.Recording location changes.Determining space and shelving needs as objects are placed in new locations.Adhere to schedule set for the project.This job description describes the general duties and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position, but it does not describe every function of this position.
