General hours are M-F from 7:45-4:00. Competitive pay and outstanding benefits for full-time employee. RESPONSIBILITES:
- Seating patients and performing initial portion of examination for ophthalmologist or optometrist, including medical history, chief complain and initial eye testing.
- Assist with scheduling, check-in and check-out procedures.
- Handling phone calls relating to triage patients care, pharmacy, and laboratory orders and scheduling.
- Exhibit courteous and professional manner in all office dealings and maintain strict confidentiality standards.
- Training to become Certified Ophthalmic Assistant is offered.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification preferred but not required
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Strict attention to detail and document
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift/stretch/bend in providing patient care
- Proven ability to work well in a TEAM oriented environment.
- Adherence to HIPAA requirements and company confidentiality and privacy policies.
