Responsible for directing patient care and financial operations for the Women & Infant and Emergency services portfolios. In addition, this position is responsible for the Professional Practice Department, including diabetic services and Research and Outcomes. Under general direction of the HSO CNO, this role is assigned process improvement activities in accordance with the strategic plan and defined BJC policies and objectives. Ensures development of staff and systems to provide outstanding patient care and services, meet all regulatory and Magnet requirements, and achieve success in all key result areas for scope of responsibility. Partners effectively with physician staff to ensure outcomes are achieved.

Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Sets and participates in the strategic planning of the organization to optimize the role/functions of patient care services within the W&I, ED, and Professional Practice portfolios. Ensures the delivery of services meet all professional standards of care within accountable areas of influence at all times. This includes managing Maternal Fetal Medicine program for our OB genetics and high-risk patients.
- Ensures effective coordination and collaboration with chief of medical staff within the Women and Infant and Emergency departments by leading the employed OB hospitalist program and managing the medical directorships across these portfolios.
- By analyzing trends and statistics, plans, develops and directs operations of the Women and Infant, Emergency and Professional Development portfolios and ingrates services with other departments.
