Entry Level Sales Representative

Mississippi Valley Equipment Co. is a well-established family business in the construction equipment industry looking for a dedicated professional sales representative who is independent and highly accountable to call on potential customers throughout the Midwest. Our team is looking for one who is confident and influential that would thrive in a sociable atmosphere. A person who enjoys being outdoors, is optimistic and persuasive in their approach to selling. Training and support of our specific equipment and services will be provided.

General Summary: Achieves maximum sales profitability and growth within an assigned territory using a “ Buffalo Hunter” style approach to effectively sell and rent deep foundation equipment. The candidate shall be one interested in personally contacting and securing new business accounts throughout the U.S.

Main Functions:

• Analyzes the territory’s market potential and determines the value of prospective customer’s value to the organization
• Travels to promote, sell, and secure orders from prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
• Demonstrates a confident knowledge of the products and services offered to potential customers and assists them in selecting which are best suited for their needs
• Generates new business through coordination with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and the service department.
• Supplies management with written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
• Prepare and Execute Sales Presentations
• Participates in trade shows and conventions

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Self Confidence / Self-Motivation / Positive attitude
• Some Mathematical skills required
• Some Outside Sales Experience Preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record
• Product / Applications Training Provided

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
