What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intramural Official position at Mississippi University for Women?
Essential Duties
- Fulfill schedule obligations
- Penalize, in accordance with the rules of the sport and the regulations of the department, any unsportsmanlike conduct by players
- Knowledge of the rules governing each sport and regulations of the department
- Positive attitude toward work and fellow officials
- Attempt to resolve problems if possible
- Receive and document protests, and then immediately contact the sport supervisor on duty
- Must be available to work late afternoon and evenings Monday through Thursday.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and pleasant playing environment for all participants by enforcing the established rules and regulations for each particular sport.
