We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, and working directly with customers, insurance companies, and technicians to ensure a smooth repair process.
Position Overview
The Body Shop Estimator plays a critical role in the repair process by serving as the primary point of contact between customers, insurance companies, and the repair team. This position is responsible for accurately assessing repairs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring all necessary repairs are properly documented and approved. The estimator helps guide each job from initial inspection through completion, supporting efficient workflow, cost control, and high-quality repairs while delivering excellent customer service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine repair needs
- Prepare accurate estimates using industry-standard software
- Communicate with customers regarding repair timelines and costs
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters to approve repairs
- Order parts and track repair progress
- Work closely with technicians to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain proper documentation and update repair statuses
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as an auto body estimator or in collision repair (preferred)
- Knowledge of estimating systems (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
