This role involves the premixing material batches, polymerizing polyurethane materials, visual inspection of materials produced, product sample submissions, classification of materials to specification, packaging of finished product, record keeping and document control of batch records, inventory control of raw materials, and ensuring all equipment is kept clean and in good repair. The duties include providing assistance to the medical staff in the application, maintenance and removal of casts, traction and other splint or motion devices as ordered. informing patients/families, staff and students about the use and care of casts and DME devices.
