Position Summary:
Front End Clerks make sure customers have a great experience by greeting customers, ensuring timely and accurate transactions, assisting with bagging, and offering friendly, and caring service. They will ask customers to take part in our monthly donation campaign and sell memberships. Clerks also make sure the department is clean, well-stocked, and looks good. They ensure our products and practices follow all safety rules. Additionally, they help out with tasks in other parts of the store.
Housekeepers help maintain the store, both inside and outside, by keeping the sales floor and common areas neat, clean, orderly, and safe, ensuring a positive customer experience.
This position will have both Front-End Clerk and Housekeeping shifts. Front-End Clerk shifts will be $17.75/hr and Housekeeping shifts will be $18.25/hr.
This is a union position.
Location: 1500 7th Street West, Saint Paul, MN 55102
Schedule: Morning and weekend availability required. Regular shifts to include 5:30 am start. Flexible to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail Experience: Experience in fast-paced retail setting
- Cash Handling: Direct experience in cash handling; knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, including counting, and verifying transaction amounts
- Cleaning Experience: Experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping
- Multilingual: Communicates in more than one language

Physical and Working Requirements:
The position involves frequent stationary tasks, along with regular movement throughout the front end, grocery, deli, office, outdoor, and storage areas. Frequent positioning, including bending, reaching, and stretching, is required to access low and high shelving, equipment, and products. The role requires frequent movement, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of containers weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional ascending and descending of ladders may be necessary to access elevated shelving and storage areas.
Employees in this position utilize a variety of equipment, including but not limited to a point-of-sale (POS) system, walk-behind floor scrubber, and other job-related tools and equipment. The position requires the ability to exchange accurate information effectively in person, over the telephone, and through store loudspeaker systems. Work is performed in a retail environment and may involve exposure to cleaning and sanitizing products, varying temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels.
Salary : $18 - $18
