Job Description: Incumbent will serve as the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) military bases representative to the Keesler Center in Biloxi, MS, and the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, MS. Incumbent is responsible for the development and promotion of military base course offerings and coordination of military base education support services for MGCCC classes, instructors, military students, military spouses and dependents, veterans, and civilians. Incumbent will report directly to the Assistant Dean of Teaching and Learning on the Harrison County Campus.

Incumbent is responsible for the development and promotion of military base course offerings and coordination of military base education support services for MGCCC classes, instructors, military students, military spouses and dependents, veterans, and civilians. Incumbent will report directly to the Assistant Dean of Teaching and Learning on the Harrison County Campus.
Job Duties
- Provide in-person coverage and support coordination necessary to maintain superior customer service for current or prospective students and other MGCCC stakeholders who contact or visit the Keesler Center and Naval Construction Center during College business hours.
- Work with the Harrison County Campus Assistant Dean/Dean of Teaching and Learning and School Chairs to develop a schedule of classes for the Keesler Center and the Naval Construction Battalion Center. Assist MGCCC military center instructors with military base protocols, classroom teaching needs, and data entry of attendance and grades.
- Provide enrollment support, request military base access, and provide military base protocol guidance for students, instructors, and other MGCCC stakeholders as requested.
- Comply with MGCCC's duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership (VOLED) memorandum of understanding and installation-specific memorandums of understanding with Keesler Air Force Base and the Naval Construction Battalion Center. Serve as education liaison to military education offices for respective military branches as designated.
- Serve as point of contact and education benefit advisor for active duty military tuition assistance (TA) and military spouse (MyCAA) programs as assigned. Coordinate professional development with the Military Benefits Processing Center to stay apprised of military benefit eligibility for veterans, active duty military, spouses, and dependents. Work with the Military Benefits Processing Center to determine military student benefit eligibility and apply the appropriate processing protocol and entry of military student database codes in Banner.
- Collect admissions materials, military forms, and transcript forms as required for military students. Submit grades, course withdrawal requests, and other documents as needed through the Academic Institutional (AI) Portal for military tuition benefit students.
- Coordinate with Admissions and Records, Business Office, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Campus Bookstore, Library, Learning Resource Center, and other offices to support student success.
- Provide unofficial evaluation of transcripts for military, transfer colleges/universities credit, and non-traditional learning. Coordinate with the Office of Admissions and Records to collect required admissions documents and prior credit articulation.
- Assist prospective students with completing MGCCC web applications. Assist students with understanding College policies and protocols. Provide advisement, degree evaluation, and other services related to MGCCC programs, career pathways, and university transfer to active duty military, spouses and dependents utilizing military tuition assistance.
- Conduct presentations about MGCCC courses and programs to military personnel and other groups as needed. Provide employee development training to faculty, staff, and administrators related to tuition assistance benefit programs.
- Coordinate educational activities with military education offices, including education fairs and graduation ceremonies for MGCCC military graduates.
- Issue and collect textbooks for classes in coordination with the Harri on County Campus Bookstore. Maintained accurate inventory records and equipment for the Keesler Center and the Naval Construction Battalion Center.
- Represent MGCCC at Keesler Center and Naval Construction Battalion Center functions and meetings as designated.
- Coordinate with Admissions, Military Benefits Processing Center, Teaching and Learning, Financial Aid, Institutional Research and Effectiveness, and District Office personnel to prepare for audits and MGCCC reporting requirements.
- Continuously update skill level and performance through employee development programs.
