Possess a valid Mississippi driver's license and Social Security Number. Males must be registered with the Selective Service if appropriate. Non-U.S. citizens must have appropriate immigration documents.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Include the following.
- Acts as primary receptionist for department.
- Operates all office equipment: e.g. computer, fax, copier, scanner, phone system, calculator, laminator and printer. Must be computer-literate in Windows operating system to include Microsoft Office Suite.
- Receives citizen's complaints, either by phone or in-person, notates the specific complaint, provides to the citizen department and city policy information, prepares action requests from citizen complaints and routes the request to supervisors.
- Receives incoming shipments for the department.
- Upon request prepares purchase orders, requisitions and bills for payment.
- Accounts for the department's petty cash fund.
- Prepares correspondence from drafts, and drafts simple correspondence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
