What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary/Payroll Clerk/Bookkeeper position at Mississippi Department of Employment Security?
Must have computer, excel spreadsheet, keying books, and payroll experience. Qualified candidate will work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Pay will depend on experience. Also, the applicant must have experience in accounting and have knowledge of sales tax and payroll taxes.

- Record financial transactions, including income, expenses, and payments.
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including paying bills and invoicing clients.
- Process payroll, which may include maintaining timekeeping information and calculating wages and taxes.
- Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger and manage petty cash.
- Assist with budget monitoring and financial reporting, such as preparing financial statements.
- Help prepare for and assist during annual audits by gathering and providing requested information.
- Assist with tax payments and returns in coordination with accountants.
