What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator Case Manager Designee position at Mississippi Department of Employment Security?
Job Summary
Manages cases coming within the purview of the Mississippi Youth Court System. Collects and enters case information into the Mississippi Youth Court Information Delivery System (MYCIDS). Works with youth who have allegedly been abused or neglected, are in need of special care or supervision, and/or delinquent, along with their families. Develops case plans for children coming before the Youth Court; monitors children and their families as it relates to court ordered programs, makes recommendations to the court concerning dispositional alternatives for children and their families; provides supervision, leadership, and programs for youths in the juvenile justice system; prepares and maintains files, documentation, and various reports and develops and maintains relations with the court and community. Serves as on-call Court Designee after-hours on a rotating basis. Processes legal documents, completes data entry, handles case management, oversees programs, monitors, and maintains case files and ankle monitors. Engages with the community to raise awareness of the organization's mission and programs. Plans and organizes community events, workshops, and outreach activities. Performs court duties as assigned to them by the Youth Court Judge.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university;
OR
A certificate/degree from a two-year course of study or an Associate degree from an accredited two-year college or related field, and two (2) years of experience directly related to the duties listed above.
OR
Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED) and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties listed above.
Applicant must have exceptional computer skills, be familiar with computerized software, including word processing, and preferably understand the Court system
