What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Mississippi Department of Employment Security?
The Distribution Center Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and accurately removing and/or storing inventory using heavy equipment machinery. Equipment Operators will operate cross-functionally throughout the distribution center to ensure efficient running of the distribution center in order to meet customer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate forklift equipment - Order pickers, dock stockers, reach trucks and walkie riders. Will also use a scanner
*Transport to storage, putaway-case reserve, putaway * Consolidate/Palletize inbound and outbound shipments * Pick and stage full case/bulk inventories * Load and unload trucks * Transport resolutions to designated area. *
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * 6 months of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred * High School Diploma or GED * Must be forklift certified
