The Health Information Coder codes Inpatient Acute Care, Swing Bed, OP Senior Care (Psychiatric), Emergency Room, Outpatient and Observation final diagnoses and adds modifiers as needed. The Coder performs clerical work in the department as needed.

- Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute

- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) preferred
