This Position is for a Social Services Supervisor (Safety) with a state agency work location in Wayne County.
Examples of work performed in this classification include, but are not limited to, the following: Second-level supervisory positions accountable for overseeing first-line supervisors of social service activities of a facility or program. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen. Participates in developing procedures and administrative policies and administering program budget.
Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in social work, social services, psychology, educational psychology, sociology, nursing, criminal justice, counseling, marriage and family therapy, family studies, or a related field. and 3-5 years of experience, and 1-3 years of supervisory experience. Appointing authority may require Master's Degree and/or social worker's license.
Required Document: Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance, which will be verified by the hiring agency.
