- Supervisory investigative work involving planning, directing, and conducting complex investigations of criminal and/or administrative nature.
- Responsible for establishing investigative priorities, delegating tasks, and assigning projects to subordinate personnel in collaboration with agency leadership.
- Determines and implements policy in own area of expertise.
- Conducts follow-up investigations to ensure employees are following protocols and in compliance with policy
- Supervision of investigations conducted by subordinate employees in a specialized area.
- Serve as liaison for attorneys, agency heads, and other investigative personnel.
- Serve as the Human Trafficking Coordinator
- Develop and coordinate services within the Department of Child Protection Services and with outside service providers for victims of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
- Ensure referrals are made to the Statewide Team within 24 hours of receiving a Human Trafficking Report, assist with an annual Human Trafficking report and other assigned duties.
- Monitor and Track Runaway Reports and assist with assessment and recovery efforts by coordinating with local and state law enforcement.
- Develop emergency procedures and coordinate response for MDCPS employee Mobile Emergency Alerts
