We’re seeking the right candidate for the position of Infection Preventionist – RN at Brandon Community Care Center. In this vital role, you’ll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.
What You Bring to the Table:
Essential Qualifications:
- Conduct regular infection control risk assessments.
- Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures.
- Educate staff on infection control protocols and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with infection control standards.
- Investigate and report any outbreaks of infectious diseases.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed.
- Review patient documentation for accuracy in infection-related data.
- Monitor and track patient outcomes related to infections.
- Stay current on OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements related to infection prevention.
- Assist in the management of the Nursing Department with high professional and personal standards.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and direct all the nursing functions for all nursing personnel to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times in a cost-effective manner.
- Exercises administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for nursing service objectives, policies and procedures, nursing functions and activities, nursing care, and the nursing staff and their training and any other tasks or responsibilities assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must hold a Nursing license in the state of Mississippi RN
- Minimum of two (2) years in long term care or post-acute care.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial ability
