Responsibilities
- Provide strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services in the community.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' strengths, diagnoses, treatment goals, and treatment plans.
- Assess clients' strengths, resources, and goals within the first 30 days of treatment and provide ongoing strength-based planning and treatment.
- Create an Individualized Crisis Recovery Plan for each client within 30 days to reduce risk of harm and restore stability.
- Participate in collaborative meetings with staff, other agencies, and community supports as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention services according to agency policies and procedures.
- Regularly communicate clients' status, including changes in mood or functioning, medical issues, and any crisis or health and safety issues.
- Produce effective, clinical documentation of every contact with clients.
- Attend all office trainings and regular clinical supervision sessions.
- Actively participate in all evaluations conducted by the organization.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work or a mental health related field.
- DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) hours of graduate level course work and/or practicum experience in applied intervention strategies/methods designed to address behavioral, emotional and mental disorders.
- Proficiency in using computer interfaces for documentation and billing purposes.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
