What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time School Cafeteria Worker position at Mississinewa Community Schools?
Ensures appropriate quality and quantity of food is served to students and staff
Responsibilities:
1. Follows all federal and state regulations for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs
2. Prepares a variety of foods for meal and a la carte service
3. Follows all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation requirements
4. Prepares items for special promotions, holidays and other celebrations
5. Sets up food and supplies for serving in a timely and efficient manner
6. Serves meals, meal components and a la carte items to students following designated portion sizes
7. Supplies and replenishes food items for the serving line(s) as needed
8. Store or dispose of excess food properly and according to food code
9. Properly record data on temperature logs, production records and labels daily
10. Correctly operates and cleans kitchen equipment such as: ovens, steamers, mixers, serving lines, and
dish machine
11. Operates cash register and counts money daily if required
12. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
13. Ability to get along with the public, employees and students
14. Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations
15. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent or his or her designee may assign
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
