What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Missisquoi Valley Union High/Middle School?
Missisquoi Valley Union Middle/High School has an opening for a front desk receptionist.
This position is the face/voice of our school. You will be the first person who is seen by students and school community members as they enter our school. You will be the primary person answering our phone, and most importantly the friendly face to assist our students and families with their office needs!
The ideal candidate will:

Have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. You will be answering phones and doors, interacting with students, parents, community members and school personnel along with various agencies and state officials.

Exhibiting a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is paramount.
Have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
Possess an ability to work well with others while taking appropriate initiative to manage tasks effectively and on time. Candidate must be able to prioritize workload in a busy office.
Have a strong technology background; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google platforms and the ability to quickly learn other school-data programs. Candidate will be responsible for generating student data reports for colleagues, and various state agencies and will often use Excel, PowerSchool and Google. Candidate will help maintain the school calendar and will post important dates and information to School Website and other informational systems.
Position is year round. This position works up to 40-hour/week with excellent benefits.
