Missisquoi Valley Union is in search of a Middle School Math Teacher beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. This position will work collaboratively within a middle school team setting. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional skills, experience in Common Core aligned math education, and they must be able to support a wide range of students at various levels. They will be able to differentiate math instruction, promote productive mathematical talk, interpret and respond to data, and demonstrate flexibility and versatility in order to adapt and adjust in rapidly changing situations.Competitive union position with a salary range of $51,750 - $92,250, based on experience and education.MVU provides educational services for approximately 800 students, grades 7-12 coming from Franklin, Highgate, and Swanton schools, as well as students from neighboring towns offering school choice.
The chosen candidate will join a dynamic, dedicated staff that is continuously moving on a journey towards instructional excellence. Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply: -Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid Vermont teaching license. Individuals who hold a corresponding teaching license outside the state of VT will be considered equally.-3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred-Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, organizational, collaboration and decision-making skills.-Strong written and verbal communication skills.MVU is located in the northwestern corner of Vermont bordering Lake Champlain on its west and Quebec Province in Canada on its north. Interstate 89, Vermont Route 78, and U.S.
