Missisquoi Valley Union Middle/High School has an opening for a split-shift, school year, Front Desk Receptionist.This position is one of the faces and voices of our school. You will be the first person who is seen by students and school community members as they enter our school. You will be one of the primary people answering our phone, and most importantly the friendly face to assist our students and families with their office needs!The position will bridge school day and afterschool program hours, working 10:00am - 5:30pm. This is a union, school year only position, working 182 days per year and paid only for the days worked plus 8 holidays.
This position works up to 37.5 hours per week following the school year calendar, with excellent benefits. Pay scale placement ranges from $16.65 - $31.25 per hour based on experience.The ideal candidate will: Love serving children and families!Have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. You will be answering phones and doors, interacting with students, parents, community members and school personnel along with various agencies and state officials..Exhibiting a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is paramount.Have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.Possess an ability to work well with others while taking appropriate initiative to manage tasks effectively and on time. Candidate must be able to prioritize workload in a busy office.Have a strong technology background; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google platforms and the ability to quickly learn other school-data programs.
Candidate will be responsible for generating student data reports for colleagues, and various state agencies and will often use Excel, PowerSchool and Google.
