Required Skills:
- 10 years experience with PostgreSQL administration in production
- 10 years hands-on AWS experience, especially with RDS for PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Aurora
- Proven track record supporting enterprise environments, including on-call support
- Expertise in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring tools
- Deep understanding of backup, recovery, and high availability/disaster recovery strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams
- Experience working in fast-paced, global settings with a proactive, operational mindset
- Scripting and automation in Python
- Familiarity with other databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or Azure/GCP platforms
- Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines experience
- Previous experience migrating MSSQL to PostgreSQL
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- AWS certifications or similar cloud credentials
- Prior experience in leading database architecture transformations or large-scale migrations
- Ability to work across multiple time zones with flexibility
- Hybrid work environment with global team collaboration
- Occasional travel for team building, vendor meetings, and architecture reviews
