As a key executive, you will lead regional cybersecurity initiatives, foster a unified cyber defense posture, and collaborate across borders to stay ahead of emerging threats—all while evolving a security-first culture in a highly regulated environment.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 years’ progressive cybersecurity experience, including 5 years in senior leadership roles
- Strong background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated industries
- Certified CISSP and CISM required
- Expertise in Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, SOC leadership, and detection engineering
- Extensive knowledge of Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP), IAM, Zero Trust architectures
- Deep understanding of GRC frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and regulations including HIPAA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior executives, and manage global security programs
- Experience in OT/ICS security in manufacturing or laboratory environments
- Effective cross-functional collaborator with legal, compliance, and operations teams
- Additional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CCSK/CCSP, GICSP
- Experience with threat hunting, automation, and advanced analytics
- Familiarity with vendor management and managed security services
- Fluency in Japanese or experience working with Japanese counterparts
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or relevant field
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred
- Prior experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma sectors
- 10% international travel, including visits to Japan
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (twice weekly in-office in Princeton, NJ)
- Willingness to work after hours occasionally to support Japan hours and global incident response
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel
