Computer Systems Analyst
Location: San Diego-Carlsbad, CA
Position: Computer Systems Analyst (Senior)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Computer Systems Analyst to support complex IT initiatives for federal government contracts. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to drive mission-critical system implementations for the Department of Defense, leveraging expertise in requirements analysis, technical documentation, and system testing. Responsibilities
Develop system requirements based on user and stakeholder input, ensuring alignment with mission objectives.
- Analyze business requirements and evaluate technical alternatives to recommend optimal solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs and user manuals.
- Test development and production software to ensure functionality, security, and compliance with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Lead implementation of computer systems to meet customer requirements, overseeing integration and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to resolve issues and optimize system performance.
Participate in agile processes, providing status reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in IT roles, with expertise in:
- Developing system requirements based on user input.
- Analyzing business requirements and technical alternatives.
- Creating technical documentation and testing software for functionality.
- Implementing computer systems to meet customer needs.
- Active Secret clearance (IT-II level) required and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF) certification required: IAT III (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in system design and integration.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a secure, high-stakes environment.
