Application Developer
Location: Harrisburg-Carlisle, PA
Position: Application Developer (Mid-Level)
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Application Developer to design and develop database-driven IT applications supporting federal government contracts. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical IT solutions for the Department of Defense, leveraging expertise in software development to deliver secure, high-quality systems. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain database-driven IT applications using programming languages such as C , Java/J2EE, Visual Basic, .NET, HTML/XML, PowerBuilder, or Delphi.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement secure coding practices to ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Perform system testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure application reliability and performance.
- Integrate applications with existing databases and systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Document code, technical designs, and system configurations for audits and future maintenance.
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and status reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT roles, with expertise in:
- Designing and developing database-driven IT applications.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C , Java/J2EE, Visual Basic, .NET, HTML/XML, PowerBuilder, or Delphi).
- Active Secret clearance (IT-II level) required and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF) certification required: IAT II (e.g., CompTIA Security , CCNA Security, or equivalent).
