The Director of Finance serves as a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations across Mission Yogurt and its portfolio of concepts. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting while supporting strategic decision-making, operational effectiveness, and organizational growth.
The Director of Finance combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on oversight of accounting operations, financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes across a complex multi-entity environment. This position partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, improve operational performance, and build scalable infrastructure that supports continued growth.

Financial Leadership & Accounting Oversight
- Lead and oversee accounting operations across multiple entities and business concepts.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee operational financial reporting, including revenue recognition, sales reporting, cash reconciliation, and POS-related activity.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support growth opportunities, operational initiatives, and capital investment decisions.
- Support debt management activities, including financial covenant tracking, compliance reporting, lender analysis, and banking relationship support.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Provide financial insights that support profitability, labor management, and operational decision-making.
- Lead implementation and optimization of accounting systems, reporting tools, and financial processes.
- Develop scalable accounting procedures, SOPs, and reporting structures that support organizational growth.
- Identify operational and process inefficiencies and lead the implementation of scalable improvements through automation, AI-driven tools, technology integrations, and enhanced operational workflows to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and overall business performance.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management functions, including direct leadership and development of applicable managers and team members, while ensuring strong balance sheet integrity, accurate reconciliations, and effective financial controls across the organization.
- Monitor loan compliance requirements, debt schedules, and financial covenant performance while proactively identifying potential risks or reporting issues.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation are completed accurately and consistently.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
- Establish performance expectations and accountability measures.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Build scalable team structures and processes to support organizational growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, auditors, CPA firms, tax advisors, and external consultants while serving as a primary point of contact for all financial and banking-related matters.
- Lead year-end audits and support tax and regulatory compliance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of financial reporting and applicable filings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
- CPA designation required
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred
- 7 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
- Experience within multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, retail, or operationally complex environments strongly preferred
- Experience overseeing multi-entity accounting environments and consolidations
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and process improvement initiatives
- Experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, reporting tools, and operational integrations
- Demonstrated success leading in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
- Must be able to alternate between sitting and standing for up to 10 hours. Position requires prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
