They are also tasked with training and mentoring team members to foster a productive and positive work environment. Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in food safety (ServSafe).
- Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and control costs.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with front of house management to ensure seamless communication and timely order delivery.
- Assist in menu planning and development by providing feedback on food quality and preparation processes.
- Maintain accurate records related to food production, inventory, and staff performance.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or customer concerns related to back of house activities.
- Position requires the ability to stand up to 12 hours.
- Climbing, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling.
- Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 20 lbs. and occasionally carrying up to 50 lbs.
