Job Title: Vocational Program Manager

Job Summary:
The Vocational Program Manager is responsible for direct supervision and coordination of support
staff. The Program Manager is responsible for monitoring and ensuring quality services are provided
for the program clients, that client satisfaction is maintained, and contract obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review of all program contracts and make recommendation to administrator.
- Ensure program contracts are maintained and provisions of contracts are met.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance, compliance, and documentation for CARF Accreditation.
- Completion, submission and reconciliation of department billing.
- Collaborate with the Administrator to set and maintain department budget.
- Set and track department goals, objectives and performance indicators, to include analysis and action plans.
- Develop and direct an annual strategic plan for the vocational department.
- Complete board updates as needed.
- Creating and maintaining staffing schedules.
- Attend monthly service provider meetings.
- Maintaining communications with Case Managers, DVR service representatives, the County Coordinators office and other support services as appropriate.
- Collaboration with related community organizations to support participant advocacy and to support and strengthen the mission of Mission Vista.
- Overseeing an orderly office in which staff can work effectively. Directing support staff as needed.
- Supervising services for multiple caseloads. Management of distribution of caseloads within the vocational department.
- Monitor case files/client records for completion, accuracy and timely updates.
- Developing and maintaining ongoing training plans for all vocational department staff.
- Employee/staff evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Annual written analysis of formal complaints.
- Review of critical incidents.
- Maintaining department brochures.
- Complete annual satisfaction surveys.
- Conducting weekly vocational staff meetings.
- Maintain an updated vocational specialist handbook.
- Maintain an updated vocational participant handbook.
- Oversee maintenance of cultural competency & diversity plan.
- Oversee accessibility reviews and action plans.
- Oversee risk assessments, safety reviews and action plans.
- Maintain updated DDA Policy Manual with ongoing training of vocational staff.
- Maintain a working knowledge of community resources for clients to access.
- Maintain a working knowledge of laws and regulations relating to services provided.
- Maintain a working knowledge of laws and regulations that relate to participants’ employment and related items.
- Attend, contribute to, and maintain notes for quarterly All-Staff meetings.
- Attend, contribute to, and maintain notes for weekly management meetings.
- Keep administrator apprised of vocational department status and anticipated concerns and structural changes.
- General office responsibilities such as review and approval of staff time-sheets, mileage records, and Penelope records, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 3 years of management experience
- Ability to build positive relationships with staff and clients
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, stand for long periods of time, sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, carry and reach.
- Must have valid Driver License with a safe driving record
- Current First Aid/CPR cards
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening: background and drug test

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
