JOB TITLE: Swim School Instructor

REPORTS TO: Deck Supervisor
SUMMARY: We are looking for enthusiastic instructors to works with children of all ages to develop proper swimming technique and skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaches swimming strokes and water safety rules from beginner to advanced with the ability to assess progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Identifies incorrect swimming technique and provides corrective feedback
- Exhibit patience and enthusiasm with swimmers while providing ground rules for class
- Motivate students to accomplish goals of class
- Communicate effectively with students to ensure all water safety rules are adhered to
- Monitors students to prevent accidents and injuries
- Works with team to keep deck and pool clean
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Prior swim lessons/swimming experience preferred, but not required
- Passion for working with children of all ages
- CPR/water safety training certified preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
