About the Role
Mission Tile West is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated, and people-loving individual to join our team as a Design Consultant. This is a hybrid design and sales role where personality matters just as much as performance. Mission Tile West is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated, and people-loving individual to join our team as a Design Consultant. This is a hybrid design and sales role where personality matters just as much as performance. If you're passionate about helping people, love to connect, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!
This is a full-time, in-person, hourly commission-based position, with earning potential between $50,000 and $100,000 per year, depending on commission. Starting pay for new salespeople is approximately $24/hour (around $50,000 annually), with unlimited growth potential based on commissions.
Design experience is not required – we provide paid training and mentorship. What we’re looking for is someone with a positive attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a genuine interest in helping customers transform their spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage walk-in clients with warmth and enthusiasm
- Guide clients through tile and design selections based on their project goals
- Build relationships with clients, contractors, interior designers, and vendors
- Provide excellent customer experiences from start to finish
- Maintain showroom appearance and update displays as needed
- Stay organized and manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
- Learn and grow within the role through ongoing training and mentorship
What We’re Looking For
- People person – naturally friendly, extroverted, and approachable
- Self-starter – motivated and proactive
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional demeanor with a passion for helping others
- Sales experience is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Enthusiastic about design, style, and creativity – even if you're not a designer yet!
