HII – Mission Technologies is seeking motivated and innovative Mechanical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to support engineering, prototyping, and unmanned systems initiatives at our Crane, IN location. This internship offers hands-on experience working with advanced mechanical design tools, additive manufacturing, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) within a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

- Support 3D printing/additive manufacturing workflows including part preparation, fabrication, and post-processing.
- Contribute to prototype development, testing, and validation activities.

- Generate engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings, and test reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on research, rapid prototyping, and production efforts.
- Level 3 Intern - High School Diploma or equivalent Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with between 40% and 60% of the required credits completed.
- Level 4 Intern - High School Diploma or equivalent Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with more than 60% of the required credits completed.
- Experience or familiarity with SolidWorks, 3D printing, and/or UAS systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Must be able to work onsite at a facility located in Crane, IN.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for access to government facilities.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a secret level security clearance.
