Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The MNR Maintenance Division is in need of a Work Planner II to support the Mercury team at the Nevada National Security Site.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 (http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=14b1c770db022992d237769fbe9fc519&mc=true&node=se10.4.707_14&rgn=div8) , "Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites," will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Annual salary range for this position is: $63,856.00 - $95,784.00.

The MNR Maintenance Division is in need of a Work Planner II to support the Mercury team at the Nevada National Security Site.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue equipment and/or system modification, maintenance and construction work packages in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
- Conduct and attend weekly scheduling meetings to assure all customer needs and prioritize are being accommodated sufficiently.
- Create weekly schedules that ensures contractual requirements and deadlines are met adequately.
- Work alongside superintendents and facility managers to create a friendly work environment to assure great customer service.
- Utilize the asset management database and AKWIRE which is the scheduling apparatus to create an efficient work schedule for customers while implementing the companies process for high quality service.
- Unswervingly serve other schedulers as their back-up while away from duty or a HUB of information for other schedulers to seek out if they need help with the disciplines of the scheduling process.
- Plan and adjust schedules.
- Carry over unfinished work to next week's schedules.
- Schedule, coordinate, and expedite work as necessary to ensure contractual requirements, and project completion times are met.
- Ensure all required material is on hand prior to scheduling work.
- Work closely with customers and other scheduling groups to identify priorities and job requirements, coordinate access, establish work schedules, and report work progress.
- Schedule work to minimize equipment downtime and customer inconvenience.
- Take part in the Continuous Improvement of Work Control processes and procedures.
- Utilize the scheduling database to provide up to date status reports regarding workload/backlog trends, work completion times, labor utilization, shop performance, and work order status.
- Perform various functional and administrative activities in conjunction with the primary work control/work package development including, but not limited to, permit development, testing requirements, documentation generation, records management, database information management, retrieval, and review, and/or training.
- Learn all Company and industry regulatory guidance and governance specific to work control and planning.
- Ensure all work control results, materials, processes, and final products meet quality specifications and complete according to established requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
- Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 2 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience

- Project Management
- Construction Management
- Business Management
- Engineering
- Others on a case-by-case basis
- Successfully demonstrate any one or more of the following:
- Construction or maintenance planner.
- Construction or maintenance supervisor or superintendent
- Construction Subcontract Technical Representative (STR)
- Primavera Scheduler position
- Military experience - Technical, civil or propulsion plant experience preferred - to be evaluated
- Active in a construction craft, preferably with 2 year at the foreman or above level.
- Shall be able to operate the following equipment or software programs:
- Microsoft Office products
- Computerized Maintenance Management System, (CMMS,) such as Maximo, SAP, or equivalent preferred
- SharePoint or equivalent preferred
- Scheduling Software such as AKWIRE
- The primary work location will be Mercury, NV at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday - Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
