What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Accountant position at Mission Staffing?
We’re working with a small, tight-knit family office in Rockland County that’s looking to bring on an accounting professional to cover a maternity leave. It’s a really collaborative environment, so they’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, polished, and comfortable jumping in to handle day-to-day accounting with minimal hand-holding.
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounting work, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity
- Support the month-end close and help with financial reporting
- Process invoices, reconciliations, and track expenses
- Keep financial records organized and up to date
- Work closely with the team on ongoing accounting and operational needs
Requirements:
- 2 /- years of corporate accounting experience is ideal
- Open to candidates with strong internship experience in audit, accounting, or AP
- Accounting degree is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable in a small, team-focused environment
- Looking for someone organized, proactive, and takes ownership of their work
Salary : $40 - $50
