Our client, a global hedge fund based in New York, NY, is seeking a Total Return Swaps Operations Analyst to join their Investment Operations team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the post-trade lifecycle for Total Return Swaps (TRS) and other swap products, ensuring the accurate processing, reconciliation, and monitoring of trades and lifecycle events. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting TRS operations within a hedge fund, investment manager, prime brokerage, or similar financial services environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform daily trade, position, cash, and P&L reconciliations for Total Return Swaps and related swap products.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, position discrepancies, valuation differences, and other operational exceptions with counterparties and internal teams.
- Support the capture, validation, and processing of TRS trades, ensuring accurate booking and downstream processing.
- Monitor the full TRS lifecycle, including trade amendments, resets, financing accruals, corporate actions, valuations, cash flows, settlements, and terminations.
- Reconcile swap positions and economics against prime brokers and swap counterparties, researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Support the processing of dividend payments, financing charges, corporate actions, and other underlying security events impacting swap positions.
- Work closely with Trading, Prime Brokers, Technology, Treasury, Finance, and counterparties to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless trade processing.
- Maintain accurate trade, position, counterparty, and reference data to support operational and financial reporting.
Requirements:
- 2 years of investment management, derivatives operations, middle-office, or swap operations experience within a hedge fund, investment manager, prime broker, or similar financial services environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting Total Return Swaps (TRS) and their associated post-trade lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of TRS mechanics, including resets, financing accruals, dividends, corporate actions, valuations, cash flows, and settlements.
- Experience reconciling swap positions and resolving trade, cash, position, and valuation breaks with prime brokers and counterparties.
- Experience with Advent Geneva, or a similar investment management, accounting, or trade-processing platform.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive operational workflows.
Salary : $45 - $50
