Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative teaching methods and learning technology.
• Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and observations to tailor instruction effectively.
• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or visual impairments.
• Manage classroom environments to promote positive behavior, engagement, and safety through effective classroom management strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and special educators—to support student needs holistically.
• Facilitate early childhood education activities, preschool programs, and toddler care to foster foundational skills in young learners.
• Incorporate diverse instructional techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), music therapy, recreational therapy, and literacy or math instruction to enhance learning outcomes.

Skills

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
• Expertise in special education practices including behavioral health management, behavioral therapy, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience with curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and library services.
• Knowledge of learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Ability to design lessons that accommodate students with disabilities or special needs while maintaining high standards of academic excellence.
• Proficiency in classroom management strategies that foster a positive learning environment for children of all ages.
