Class Action Attorney
A plaintiff-side employment litigation practice is seeking a Class Action Attorney with substantial wage and hour litigation experience to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to handle meaningful litigation work, manage an active caseload, and contribute throughout all phases of class action and representative litigation.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling wage and hour matters, familiarity with class action and PAGA litigation, and the ability to independently manage responsibilities while working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
Position Responsibilities
The attorney will:
- Represent employees in wage and hour, class action, and PAGA matters
- Handle cases from intake through final resolution
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Draft pleadings, motions, and supporting filings
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Manage discovery strategy and execution
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend mediations and participate in settlement discussions
- Appear in court for hearings and motions
- Interview clients and class members
- Maintain ongoing client communications
- Supervise support staff and assistants
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in California
- Minimum of three years of wage and hour litigation experience
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with class action litigation
- Experience handling PAGA matters
- Experience involving contested class certification
- Interest in long-term growth within the organization
Compensation
- Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually
