Budtender Description

Job Description

A Budtenders job is to be in direct contact with customers and patients, answering any questions about products and the effects that they may have on them. They must have extensive knowledge and passion of all products that are sold in the store and other products that may be on the market. Their job is to have the knowledge and simultaneously ensure friendly customer service to all customers. They also must be well educated on local and state regulations to help keep the store compliant.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Friendly customer service and knowledge of product
• Ability to work the POS system and preform transactions.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math.
• Applying sticker and tracking tags to all products.
• May be responsible for opening and closing the store, setting up sales floor and organizing product.

Requirements:

- Must be at least 21 years old

- Must have a valid permit/license required by state regulations - Retail marijuana experience a plus

- Retail, sales, customer service experience

- Must have excellent attendance and professionalism- Must be detail oriented and able to handle cash, and operate a POS register

- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (excluding marijuana related charges)

- Must have reliable transportation- Must be enthusiastic, friendly, optimistic, outgoing, and a team player

- This position requires the physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, kneeling, and reaching.

- Ability to tailor each guest interaction to the individual

- Flexible schedule

- available days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays

- Self-starter. Somebody who finds the work that needs to be done.

- Provide excellent customer service

- Follow State law and company security procedures

- Inform and educate customers on products we carry

- Cultivate long-term relationships with guests

- Setup displays, prep product- cash handling

- Operate POS system

- Maintain inventory control & high-volume transactions.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
