Growing medical equipment company adding new position for Delivery Technician. Mission Medical Equipment is a leading provider of oxygen, sleep therapy, and home medical equipment.
The Delivery Technician is responsible for the timely and safe delivery, setup, and pickup of patient equipment and supplies. This role ensures patients and caregivers are fully educated on the use of the equipment, maintains proper documentation, and upholds professional standards in every interaction.
Some medical equipment experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times, serving as a goodwill ambassador between the company, customers, and any individuals encountered during the course of work.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company.
- Perform duties appropriately to reach service goals delivering HME and oxygen equipment and supplies as required, in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations.
- Maintain warehouse area and delivery vehicle.
- Coordinate deliveries, pick-ups, and equipment maintenance.
- Educate patients in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
- Complete written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits as required.
- Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including stretching, bending, stooping, and crouching while moving equipment and supplies.
- Occasionally climb stairs and maneuver heavy equipment through tight spaces within patient residences.
- Provide thorough equipment assessments and perform necessary maintenance as required.
- Safely drive a delivery van or truck through various weather conditions, including hazardous conditions when necessary.
- Must be able to identify and mitigate safety hazards during deliveries and equipment setup.
- Travel to both urban and rural locations to service patients.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
