Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Plumber with 5 years of in-field experience under their belt to join the Mission Family. This role is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems in a residential setting. This role involves diagnosing issues, presenting customer solutions and performing necessary repairs with the intent of providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of plumbing systems, adheres to safety and code regulations, and is committed to delivering high-quality work.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing diverse residential plumbing issues.
• Obtaining and installing replacement parts.
• Ability to perform repairs and replacements of the following plumbing equipment and systems: Water Heaters, Faucets and Fixtures, Toilets, Sump Pumps, Garbage Disposals, Water Lines and Drain Lines
• Installations and repairs completed according to the Indiana Plumbing Code
• Maintains compliance with company policies and safety procedures
• Communicating diagnoses and solutions to customers.
• Provide accurate estimates and obtain customer approval prior to beginning work.
• Maintains professional and courteous interactions in customers’ homes.
• Identifies additional repair needs for the future and preventative maintenance opportunities.
• Electronically submits work performed, materials used, photos of work progress and recommendations.
• Electronically processing and submitting credit card payments.
• Keeps service vehicle clean, organized and stocked with necessary materials.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
• Responds to after hours emergency plumbing service calls when scheduled.

Preferred Non-Essential Functions

• Ability to operate and maintain drain machine and jetters.
• Performs drain camera inspections and recommends corrective action.
• Ability to operate digging equipment.

Education/Knowledge/Skills Requirements

• 5-7 years of residential plumbing experience preferred
• Indiana Plumbing License preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• 40 hours per week OT
• Ability to pass drug and background screenings
• Required to have reasonable trade-specific tools

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday through Friday
• On call (After hours, Weekends, and Holidays)

• Strength and Lifting
• Ability to lift and carry 50–75 pounds regularly (water heaters, pipe, tools, equipment).
• Ability to push, pull, and move heavy materials such as piping, fixtures, and appliances.
• Standing and Movement
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting when working under sinks, in crawl spaces, or basements.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• Working in Confined or Tight Spaces
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, and utility closets.
• Ability to reach overhead or into tight areas to install or repair plumbing.
• Hand and Arm Dexterity
• Manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements (cutting, threading, tightening fittings).
• Visual and Sensory Requirements
• Adequate vision (with or without correction) to read gauges, measurements, and small components.
• Ability to distinguish colors for identifying wires, valves, and piping when necessary.
• Environmental Exposure
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Exposure to water, sewage, chemicals, dust, and construction environments.
• Balance and Coordination
• Ability to maintain balance while climbing ladders or working on uneven surfaces.
• Good hand-eye coordination when installing or repairing plumbing components.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
