Maintenance Worker – Job Description
Location: Mission Hills Memorial Gardens
Mission Hills Memorial Gardens is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Cemetery Maintenance Worker. This position plays a vital role in preserving the beauty, dignity, and peaceful atmosphere of our well-maintained gardens, where families gather to honor loved ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, raking, and leaf/blower cleanup
- Assist with burial and monument setups, including preparing and restoring gravesites
- Maintain landscaping features such as trees, shrubs, and flower beds
- Clean and maintain cemetery roads, pathways, and common areas
- Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, tractors, and small tools
- Perform light maintenance on equipment and facilities as needed
- Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal and storm debris cleanup
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and equipment operation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and respect for cemetery property and families
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
