Mission Hills Dialysis, LLC, a rapidly growing dialysis facility in the San Fernando Valley, is looking for an experienced Dialysis Bio-Med Technician with BBraun experience.

Under the supervision of Management or their designee, the Bio-Med Technician is responsible for managing the daily operations of all hemodialysis and facility equipment, as well as the RO water system. Additionally, the Bio-Med Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring patients receive high-quality care and maintains general oversight of the clinic’s technical aspects and physical facility to ensure compliance with state, federal, and manufacturer regulations.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The Bio-Medical Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining all medical equipment, water systems, and the physical plant within assigned facilities. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and all relevant state and federal regulatory requirements is mandatory. The technician must maintain accurate records and report all repairs and maintenance activities in compliance with manufacturers’ standards, industry best practices, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
· Experience with BBraun dialysis machine required
· Supervise and carry out repairs and maintenance on dialysis machines, water treatment systems, ancillary devices, testing instruments, and facility infrastructure, strictly following manufacturer guidelines for dialysis clinic operations.
· Handle low & high voltage dialysis-specific equipment.
· Adhere to all Clinical/Technical protocols, AAMI standards for dialysis, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to dialysis technology.
· Collect and process water and dialysate samples in accordance with precise procedures required for dialysis patient care.
· Review, assess, and report water and dialysate quality results based on established dialysis quality benchmarks.
· Maintain accurate records of all repair and maintenance work, aligning documentation with dialysis department policies and regulatory requirements.
· Oversee purchasing and inventory of critical clinic supplies, including dialysis components and consumables.
· Conduct monthly Technical Quality Assessments, focusing on dialysis equipment performance, and present findings during QAPI meetings.
· Manage the safe transport of dialysis equipment and materials as needed within the clinical setting.
· Perform other dialysis-related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
· The position involves active physical tasks such as lifting, bending, walking, and standing for long periods while working around dialysis equipment; dollies or specialized carts must be used to move dialysis machines and heavy items.
· Routine handling of items weighing up to 50 lbs , with emphasis on dialysis device movement.
· Staff may face exposure to chemicals and infectious materials commonly encountered in dialysis treatment; PPE designed for dialysis environments will be provided and must be used.
· Work occurs mostly in climate-controlled dialysis clinics with moderate noise levels but may include some outdoor conditions and occasional overnight travel to support multi-site dialysis operations.
