Role Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during and after surgical intervention.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
- Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
- Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
- Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
- Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience
- Required Education:
- Surgical Technologist: graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- If LPN in surgical Technologist role: graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Preferred Education: Associates of Applied Science in Surgical Technology
- Required License:
- Surgical Technologist: Current BCLS certification. For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire.
- LPN in Surgical Techologist role: current BCLS certification and current NC license.
- For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire. Individuals hired prior to August 1, 2007 are exempt from the certification requirement.
- Required Experience:
- Surgical Technologist: clinical experience in training program
- LPN in Surgical Technologist role: one-year experience in a Surgical Technologist role in an applicable acute care operating room setting or clinical experience in Surgical Technologist training program
