Job Summary And Qualifications
Role Summary: Performs and participates by disassembling, cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, testing, and storing procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic technique. Also, by completing requests to dispense equipment and supplies, assisting and processing patient charge records and maintaining department inventory. Uses chemicals and appropriate PPE as established protocols and procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
- Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
- Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
- Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
- Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
- Required Education: High School graduate or GED
- Preferred Education: Sterile Processing Training or Surgical Technician Training
- Required License: SPD Technician Certification or Surgical Technician Certification or obtain certification within one year of being eligible to sit for the exam (typically after one year of employment). Must pass the exam for certification within a maximum of 4 attempts.

- Required Experience: None
- Preferred Experience: 1-2 years as SPD Technician or equivalent
