Supports the department by accurately preparing medications for patient dispensing, maintaining appropriate records to assure adherence to regulations, and to provide accurate financial accountability. Medical specialties offered include family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, and walk-in, non-emergency care at Mission My Care Now McDowell. Five of Mission Hospital McDowell’s primary care practices have been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as Rural Health Clinics.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:
- Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Pharmacy Technology
- Required License: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire AND Active status as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (as credentialed by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
- Preferred License: None
- Required Experience: At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience or completion of an Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technology
- Preferred Experience: At least 4 years of pharmacy technician experience
