Our next CNA Training Program starts on June 15th and lasts 5 weeks with a Monday to Friday commitment. We will only be accepting 10 students into this program. A maximum of 8 hours can be missed during the 5 weeks of this class because the hours are mandated by the state of NC. You must maintain a good standing in the patient safety attendant role to take the state exam. You must maintain an 80% or higher in the program to pass, if your grade goes below a 75% you may be dropped from the program.
Our nurse managers will interview for their unit. Offers will come from Talent Acquisition. All candidates will report to the hired department and work under that manager. You will be trained to work as a Patient Safety Attendant on the unit. You will stay in this position until you take and pass your state exam. Once you have passed your state exam and are on the state registry, you will begin working as a CNA also called a Patient Care Technician. The average time worked as a Patient Safety Attendant is about 5-6 weeks as state testing is not immediate and delays can occur. As a PSA, you will be responsible for making sure that you get placed on the schedule to work these shifts. Once you accept a position with us, you will be required to work 6 months on the unit that offered you a CNA position before you are eligible to transfer to another department or facility.
This position is a paid position and you will be considered an HCA employee. You will be benefit eligible, and will be able to take advantage of benefits like tuition assistance, student loan repayments, PTO, medical/dental/vision, and so much more!
