Opportunity: Mission Grammar School is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and diverse Upper School English Language Arts teacher to join its team and community for the 2024-25 school year. Responsibilities:
Create and foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Ensure scholars are supported, valued, and challenged every day
Use high quality curricular resources to design and implement lesson plans, unit plans, and assessments
Use best practices to differentiate instruction and leverage all necessary resources to ensure all scholars meet growth and achievement goals
Regularly analyze student work and academic data to modify lessons, refine curricula, and inform instructional practice
Maintain accurate student grades/records and strong lines of communication with students and families regularly regarding students’ growth and progress
Participate in school-wide and individual professional development and collaboration opportunities, engage in coaching sessions and dynamic feedback loops
Perform necessary support duties including but not limited to coverage, lunch, recess, and dismissal duties
Dependable attendance according to our school calendar for core academic days and community events
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge of Wit & Wisdom Curriculum
Belief that all children can and will learn
Commitment to anti-racism and equity
Demonstrated ability to support the achievement and growth of diverse learners in a loving and inclusive environment
2 years of full-time teaching experience
Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Masters Degree - Elementary Education or comparable field (preferred)
License in Elementary Education (preferred)
